INTERVIEW WITH MARY G. SARGBEH BY EZEKIEL MOSES




Sunday, April 8, 2012, exactly at 2pm the Salvation Army Church located in Sinkor is the day set aside for the second video launch. The church’s edifice is expected to be clogged to the rim with scores of gospel -songs enthusiasts, fans, admires, patrons, well wishers and friends to have eyes witness account of the splendid and superb performance of one of Liberia’s promising and talented young gospel artist Mary G. Sargbeh.

This time, I can’t longer wait to hear the story of the next launch from a second or third party. I want to be there myself to feel the ambiance of the blessed, spirit filled soul searching and pleasant-sounding voice and songs of Mary”, a die-hard admirer of the young gospel musician vowed to put everything aside to attend the second launch.

The Video Album with the title “Covenant Keeping God” captures how the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ never break a promise no matter how long it takes. God values patience as patience is a virtue and anyone who waits on the Lord is bound to benefit from the bountiful blessings that flow with waiting for God’s time and God’s way.

Starting anything is not an easy task but once you are focused and put everything in the hands of the Lord, he will always provide window of opportunity and blessing for you no matter how long it takes,” the young Gospel Artists Mary Sargbeh commented on how steadily she is growing in the gospel music and continues to ask God to lead and guide her to reach her ultimate goal of being an international gospel musician who will bring comfort and thrills the hearts, souls and minds of not only Liberians, but the world population in general.

Mary further that her dream of becoming an international star, can be realized when there is support also from the public. She then appeal to President Sirleaf, the American Ambassador as well as other members of the diplomatic corps, members of the august body of the both Houses , gospel music lovers to help her fulfill her ingrained desire.
Some of the distinguished personalities gracing this occasion, include the sponsors Mr. Ballah M. David, DJH Fall plus the host of other personalities.

In May 2009 the young Gospel musician launched her first video album entitled “God Can do it for You” .The video showed that despite all odds people undergo, the Almighty God will always be there to make the impossible possible, to bring lasting sunshine of joy, blessing and hope in the end.

In an interview with EZEKIEL MOSES during the launch of her first Video Album in 2009, Mary narrating her artistic sojourn that being an artist here in Liberia entails lot of difficulties, but with God above she is gradually and steadily making it.

Mary told CHANGE ENTERTAINMENT: “I had the passion and taste for music ever since when I was a kid. I sang during devotions at home and the various schools I attended. I had the habit of always listening to gospel songs and trying to memorize them and singing alone. I really had the instinct long since to become a musician, specifically gospel musician. I pray that the Almighty God will continue to bestow his countless blessings upon me so that my songs can be turning point in the lives of people.”

Mary launched her first non-video album February 25, 2007 with the title “Thanks for Your Blessing”, which is a tribute to all loving and caring mothers.
