CHILDREN, OUR HOPE (POETRY) WRITTEN BY EZEKIEL MOSES

Children our hopes
Children our future
Infants and innocent
Valued, virtues and treasured
Black or white
Brown or gold
Fragile, meek and weak
Behold, in them the future lays
They are our today
They are our future
Whatever you do or say
Tomorrow the child is the father of the man

Abused and despised
Infected with many plagues
Victims of war, hunger and hate
The broken home unsafe
Yet the aged, unconcerned
As a baby socks, crawls and walk
In the boy lays a man
In the girl lays a woman
But what the future holds
Depends on how you train them up
 Children our hope
Empowered for the future
Education the key, education the light
To make the future bright
Stop rape, stop the abuse
Love is what they need
Respect they deserve
You determine today, they determine tomorrow
Open your eyes and see
Open your mind and feel
See the pain, feel the shame
Love is what they need
Every child is your child
Give love, give hope, be kind
And together we make the world better and glo

Help a child today
Preserve your tomorrow
Love a child today
Invest in the future
Great gift is not by size
The love that matters most
You fold your hands and laugh?
Endanger tomorrow
No matter your tribe or race
Every child deserves your love!
Every child is your child
Rise up and take a stand and together, say no to child abuse
