SALUTE THE FLAG (POETRY) WRITTEN BY EZEKIEL MOSES

        The anthem rise
        The soldiers sing
         Salute the waving flag
         Melodies rise to never stop
Our land our pride our flag

Flag so high, the waving star
          Of power authority and strength
Many lives, displaced to the quiet grave
          Defend the waving flag
          With heart and might
          With sword and gun
          Our hero’s in their graves
The strongest and the bravest men
          Their lives a sacrifice

The widows mourned, the mother’s cry
The children left in pain
Politicians steal, the soldiers die
All for the waving flag
Our land, our joy and pride
How many more to die
Hero’s forgotten, families to suffer, celebrated once a year

This is our land, this is our pride
Defenders of our land
Uniforms of pride, with arms to guide
Our hero’s we ought to care
All cheer and praise our soldiers
Defenders of our land
Together, encourage the widow, mothers
And fatherless children of the brave

The anthem rise
The soldiers sing
Salute the waving flag
Melodies rise to never stop
Our land our pride our flag
Forever you wave, last longer than your guards
Defenders of our land
In peace in war or strife
Our flag our pride our joy

This poem is dedicated to all Soldiers who lost their lives during the Liberian War and the families of the late Hero's who gave their lives to defend our mother land. May their souls rest in peace. I wrote this poem this morning in celebration of the Armed Forces Day which held yesterday here in Liberia, from me; EZEKIEL MOSE  AND CHANGE ENTERTAINMENT; HAPPY ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY, LIBERIA!
