APETESHI MASTER (POETRY) WRITTEN BY EZEKIEL MOSES

Jack of all trade master of none

Apeteshi master, master of one

Daily he wakes the better he becomes

Daily he drinks till dooms day comes

Daily he toils through rain and shine

At set he consumes the work of his toil

Jack of all trade master of none

Apeteshi master, master of one

Now the day is bright up again he goes

At night he staggers back to his nest

Sometimes he lodges in five star, along the road

Where the flood passes stinking with dirt

Jack of all trade master of none

Apeteshi master, master of one

Olowo buys shares, comfort and joy

Apeteshi master saves in his belly

A bank where all decompose

Nothing to withdraw but memories

Daily he grows, no future ahead

Except Apeteshi plus weed for which he boast

Soon the clay is still before its time

Soon melodies will come to an end

Jack of all trade master of none

Apeteshi master, master of one

Sixteen dependents left without hope

His battered jewel to toil alone

Poverty multiplies the future is black

Apeteshi future is never bright

Look around and see

Open your ears and hear

Jack od all trade master of none

Apeteshi master servant of all

This I believe is one of my funnest jokes. On my way one day I saw this men drunk on there way back home, the first one self pufpuf, he sells during the day but consume all his income at night. The second was a shoe cobbler staggering back home. I got thinking on the futility of alcohol and poverty as affecting men without wisdom, the innocent and children who always bear the final brunt. The word "APETESHI" is a local slang in Nigeria that means "drunken master," Written by EZEKIEL MOSES
