PERSONALITY INTERVIEW WITH: PATRICIA NYANTI TOE BY EZEKIEL MOSES

Hello! Welcome to CHANGE ENTERTAINMENT, my name is EZEKIEL MOSES am you regular host on this blog. Today I have with me someone really special, she is a multi-gifted and talented Gospel artist right here with my today at CHANGE ENTERTAINMENT ma’am can we meet you?
PATRICIA: Hello everybody, my name is PATRICIA NYANTI TOE, am a Liberian Gospel  Artist, a music minister. Am a formal official of the Liberian Association of Gospel Musical Artist (L.A.G.M.A). I am a happily married woman to my lovely husband; Mr. Abba Toe, a graduate of Accounting in public administration from AME Zion University, Liberia.

EZEKIEL MOSES: Wow! So good to have you here today.

PATRICIA:  Thank you so much EZEKIEL MOSES am so proud of CHANGE ENTERTAINMENT you are really doing a great work to help Gospel Artist all over the world.

EZEKIEL MOSES: Thank you so much Min. Pat. Please tell us how did your journey into music begin?

PATRICIA:  I started singing when I was nine years old with my church choice at Saint Mary Catholic Church, music was such a passion for me. In 2006 I came out with my first album “TENDER MERCY” with six tracks. In 2009 my second album was lunched titled “UNTO YOU LORD” with eight songs, my new album will be out before end of June 2014.

EZEKIEL MOSES: This has been a great job so far, two album lunch and the third one on the way, this is not a joke. Please tell us, how do you come about your songs?
PATRICIA:  I compose my songs, as soon as I get an inspiration by reading the Bible or during the ministration of the word in church, something in me is inspired to write a song, I find an expression through music. My Husband has been a major source of support and strength who edits my song, take me to the studio, he is my manager too.

EZEKIEL MOSES: Such a lovely collaboration from your lovely husband, tell us, how has the journey been so far in music?

PATRICIA:  We give God the glory for my husband who has been there for me, we know God is on our side and things are getting better. The journey so far has not been so easy but with God on our side we are sure of the future.

EZEKIEL MOSES: Pat. Tell us about the major challenges faced by Gospel Artist in Liberia?

PATRICIA:  Sponsorship is a major challenge for us, for example in 2011, I went to the studio for my third album and am still there till this moment, hopping to get it done by June and do an album lunch in December.

EZEKIEL MOSES: So how do you thing we can solve this problem?

PATRICIA:  Basically we need people to take up the challenge of supporting Gospel Artist in Liberia and all over the world. This is not just a Liberian problem most artist all over the world are in dear need of encouragement. Music is life whenever people are having problem or emotionally down they take a piece of music and listen and regain strength and if the Artists are not encouraged their surly will be problem in recording new album.

EZEKIEL MOSES: Let’s get to the root of this issue, how do you market your album?

PATRICIA:  the first person that marketed my album cheated me so I decided to market my album by myself in my programmes or performance. When people see my work on TV they call me that they wanted to see my CD and I take it there.

EZEKIEL MOSES: Wow! I really think there is a lot of marketing structures that needs to be put in place for musicians, and monitoring, royalties and the like so that Artist don’t labour in vain. Min Pat. We believe things are getting better especially with CHANGE ENTERTAINMENT on your side, but for now I want to know, what are you looking forward to in the nearest future where music is concerned?

PATRICIA:  My expectations is first to do great things, to make God and my country proud, I believe in Liberia and I want to use my life to impact people all over the world.

EZEKIEL MOSES: What would you like to say to your fans, your friends and loved ones all over the world?

THINK CREATIVE BY EZEKIEL MOSES

What if this was truly all he has to offer? would you not accept it? At least no condition is permanent!

If this is all we have to ride out of danger would you ride along?
The heart and love of a mother is incomparable would you ever risk your life for your dear son or loved one?
Sometimes the air of imagination and creativity can't make you think of impossibility. Sometimes you've got to fake it till it becomes real and do all you can to keep moving. It's still February keep loving unconditionally, think out of the box and be exceptional. Think creative; in the world of creativity their is no limitation. This is CHANGE ENTERTAINMENT a home of creativity without limitation adding undeniable value globally. Stay connected! Written by: EZEKIEL MOSES

AFRICA MY AFRICANS (POETRY) BY EZEKIEL MOSES

Africa my Africa
Africa united

Black and bold, beautiful and strong

Rich in land, wealthiest in resources

Pride of all the continents

Distinct from all the colors

Africa my Africa
Africans in Africa, Africans in diaspora

Brave, brilliant and strong, builders of great nations

Dispersed abroad by slavery

Slavery of pain and captivity

The chains so strong in plantations abroad

Bound by task masters, yet free in mind and heart

With freedom that broke the chains

And set the mind at liberty

“I have a dream” Oh!

The voice of hope and freedom

Our fathers, our leader’s dreams

Today our reality

Africa my Africans

Diverse in tongue, traditions and culture

Ravaged by war, famine and hunger

Yet stand strong in liberty

Hope of a brighter future

Like the rising of the sun

Anew dawn in History begins

The stones the builders reject

World leaders number one citizen

Ancestors held slaves?

Descendants, free forever!

Africa my Africans

Stand as one together

In unity, freedom and friendship

Fulfilling dreams from ages seen

Black is my color

No matter the race, my root I know

A people so great, united

In love, in peace, in joy we stand

Africa my Africans

This is our History

Rejected, dejected but here we stand

In freedom united, we’re friends with all

No one takes the love we have

Nothing takes our dreams and hopes

We are the world, we are the light

Blazing lamp set for all to see

Africa my Africans

Live in hope, fulfill the dream

The heart of love to light the world

United we stand, together we stand

Soon every nation and race will sing

All hail Africa! Beauty beyond description

All hail Africa! All hail Liberia!!
Land of joy and peace, Land of Liberty

The war is gone, new song begins

The ruin we’ll build together as one

Together in love and unity

All Counties and Districts as one we stand

Education the light for all to see

Corruption forgotten, the truth embraced

NEW BREED, fresh air of leadership

In wisdom, in wealth and peace we reign

Our children rejoice our hope restored

We are Africans, as one we stand

In Freedom, Friendship and Unity

Africa my Africa

Africans united as one!

Wow! It was an amazing time for me, presenting this new poem at the event held at John Mark's residence at the U.S Emberssy in Monrovia last week Friday in celebration of the Black History Month. The event was a successful one that brought great minds together, Africans in Africa and Africans in diaspora, it was an atmosphere of friendship and brotherhood uniting Africans in honor and celebration of our history, our past, our present, our future. Watch out for more on this blog, more poetry more updates. Am glad you enjoyed this wonderful piece of poetry, regards; EZEKIEL MOSES from CHANGE ENTERTAINMENT!

WELCOME TO "BLACK HISTORY"

CHANGE ENTERTAINMENT and the black community have a strong history of working together to provide greater access of information celebrating Black History, Culture, Traditions and projecting the History of Africa to the whole world. Black History Month, celebrated each February, is an opportunity to recognize that access to quality health care is a fundamental right for all people — regardless of gender, race, or sexual orientation.  CHANGE ENTERTAINMENT is committed to working with the next generation of black leaders in the fight against illiteracy and poverty in Africa.

In the decades immediately following World War I, huge numbers of African Americans migrated to the industrial North from the economically depressed and agrarian South. In cities such as Chicago, Washington, DC, and New York City, the recently migrated sought and found (to some degree) new opportunities, both economic and artistic. African Americans were encouraged to celebrate their heritage and to become "The New Negro," a term coined in 1925 by sociologist and critic Alain LeRoy Locke in his influential book of the same name.
Did you know:
  • MLKBlack political and civil rights leaders like W.E.B DuBois, Mary McLeod Bethune, and Martin Luther King, Jr., were strong supporters of access to birth control and women’s health.  Planned Parenthood has fought alongside organizations like the NAACP and the Black Women’s Health Imperative for decades. #
  • In response to many black women being denied access to New York City’s health and social services at the height of the Great Depression, the New York Urban League endorsed Margaret Sanger’s opening a new clinic in Harlem.  Unique to the time, the three biggest Harlem churches — Abyssinian Baptist Church, St. James Presbyterian, and St. Philip’s Protestant Episcopal — all supported the opening of the clinic.#
  • Dr. N. Louise Young, a gynecologist and the first black woman to practice medicine in Maryland, operated a Planned Parenthood health center in Baltimore that was opened with the commitment and assistance of the local Urban League and other community partners.#
  • Thelma Patten LawPlanned Parenthood in Houston began in 1936 as the Maternal Health Center. By the late 1930s, Dr. Thelma Patten Law, one of the first black female physicians in the state was serving the black community at Planned Parenthood, and did so for more than 25 years.
Black History Month is a unique opportunity to celebrate the resilience of the black men and women who work every day to increase opportunity and health care access in the black community — as well as to celebrate the legacy of civil rights leaders and a new generation of leadership in the U.S.  This year, Planned Parenthood is honoring black women and men on social media who are having a significant impact in the reproductive health movement and are working to improve health outcomes and increase access to health care in black communities across the country.

The Planned Parenthood Generation is a movement of young people across identities that organizes with, by, and for their generation in order to achieve reproductive freedom. Planned Parenthood Generation Action programs — of which Vox (our chapters on college campuses) is one — are focused on harnessing the power, energy, and enthusiasm of young people to fight for reproductive freedom — and for fundamental justice for all.

This month marks another historic moment to celebrate Africa, our joy our pride our history. Africans have made history and a remarkable impact globally in different fields and endeavor. After many years of slavery here comes the fulfillment of "Dream" and prophecy spoken by our founding fathers.
This is a dream come through for Africa, a land so blessed so prosperous and green. Now is the time to make a CHANGE in Africa, the CHANGE we always desired and dream of, I am black bold and proud of my color so distinct, the mind of greatness in me that nothing can take away the African in me.

I am African, diverse in culture, united and focused together making History and Africa a better place. I am EZEKIEL MOSES join me on Friday at the BLACK HISTORY celebration day, I will be making a presentation of my new poem in honor of the BLACK HISTORY celebration day at the American Embassy in Liberia. Be bold be proud of how you are true Africans changing the world making it a better place, just you and I together building Africa. Send us an E-mail: changeentertainments@gmail.com   Look forward to hear from you, HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH from CHANGE ENTERTAINMENT
