CARPENTER DEVIN BY EZEKIEL MOSES

From the beginning The Word He is
Slain from the foundation of the world
The seed of the woman to bruise the head of the serpent
A Word of good tidings spoken by the angel
A promise from ages past
Conceived by a virgin laid in a manger
Worshiped by wise men
Sort for death by Harold
Now in Egypt hide

God The Word now made Flesh
A Nazarene of Bethlehem despised
A Carpenter Devin, a Savior is born
At twelve the lawyers wonder
What manner of Child is this?
Son of a carpenter, just as God He speaks
Badly beautiful rumors
But miracles un-denied
A child, a boy in wisdom and favor He grew

Is this not the Carpenter?
A fisher of men He is
The Twelve with Him about
Many signs and wonders to show
The high priest the Pharisee disturbed
No more food of deception The Carpenter proclaim
Could He be the Messiah? They asked
But how come a Carpenter? They wondered

Carpenter Devin, Son of God so true
Authority they questioned
How come, He claims to be God?
Signs and wonders un-deniable
Hail Him King of kings, Hosanna, proclaimed
Conspiracy emerged, betrayed with a kiss
Crucify Him! Protest
A thief preferred instead
Nailed Him to the cross, He died

Carpenter Devin, there He lay in death
The soldiers the grave secured
Good morning! The third day
A thunder strike the angels sing
The King is risen, never to die again
