Nobody ever wants to be
perceived as abnormal. Yet we all require a certain amount of abnormality to be
different, distinct and unique from others.
Deep within the human
conscience is an endless desires for love and acceptance, hence the temptation
to align with the norm. After all, majority carries the vote, we are tempted to
think.
Majority opinion is good, but
majority is not always right. Majority ordered the death and crucifixion of
Jesus Christ, they got their request granted after much protest but that didn't
make them right. That it is popular does
not mean it is right. That everybody says it does make it right either.
In every generation there is always
an exception. There is a generation of Daniel who will not eat the portion of
the king's meat that seems so delicious, even though everyone wants a thirst of
its delicacy. This is a generation of people who would dare to be different,
unique and outstanding by seeing differently, and acting differently from
others.
One fact we must accept today is that
you are not everybody. Everyone may not see anything wrong about it but if God
says it is wrong, then wrong it is. If God calls you a winner that's who you
are regardless of your current experiences, what people say or think about you.
Therefore, refuse to be defined by your experiences or popular opinion but by
the word of God. Your manufacturer knows your inbuilt ability and potentials
more than anyone you can think of.
Thus to make a mark, do what no other
has done, requires the wining factor of difference in you. There is something
in you that no other person has. There is a solution only you have that the
world is waiting for. There is something unique God has deposited in you that
the world can't wait to see.
Therefore, if the New Year will not
be like the formal, dare to be different. Think what others are not thinking,
do what others are not doing and become all you were created to be. It starts
with a decision; it starts with knowing who you are in God. You will never wish
to be anyone else if you know who you really are.
Spend time to think, strategize and
plan before embarking on a project.
Spend time praying before starting, that is an investment into the
future that produces endless results beyond your physical strength can. It is
the wining factor that produces sustained results. Never ignore your gifts, potentials
and God given abilities they always hold the keys to the palace.
